On Saturday, May 11th, 2024, we lost a larger than life personality.

 

Charles E. “Chuck” Cwiakala, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and cherished friend of too many to count, left us. His life was a testament to adventure, curiosity, and boundless joy. He lived life to the fullest and continuously encouraged his children to do the same.

A Philatelic Auction Agent for over 50 years, Chuck was known for his enthusiasm in the philatelic community, an expert in British Commonwealth and many other collectible fields, this passion connected him with collectors around the world. His involvement was not only a reflection of his love for history and culture but also a tangible representation of his lifelong connection to people.

 

He was President of the Chicago Collector’s Club for over 14 years and an unavoidable presence at all major stamp shows for the past four decades. There are very few in the stamp world that don’t who haven't heard a kind word from Chuck. He'll be dearly missed.
